Tessa Sandlar.

soul meets tessa: Jewish crack called love, maybe.
Tessa was born to a wealthy lawyer and an interior designer right in the middle of Manhattan. From the minute she came into the world she was given everything she could ever ask for, being groomed to be the epitome of the Jewish American Princess. Well, besides her parents staying together. Her parents divorced just before 7th grade and she moved out with her mom to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where her mother's family lived. For the first few years, Tessa despised the place before she learned to get over herself and enjoy being a big fish in a little pond. She spent the rest of her years in Hershey, graduating from Hershey High and going on to get a business degree from Penn State. She returned to Hershey and opened her own boutique, obviously with the help of her parents, the first and only haute couture boutique in Hershey. And there she stayed until recently. Her on-and-off again boyfriend, Greg Dunleavy, received a transfer to Madison, and so like a dutiful girlfriend (being as they are currently back on), she followed. She packed up her things, signed over the majority of the store to her stepfather and left her faithful dog Chino with her mother, as he was getting old and it would be hard enough finding a place to live for a Great Dane, but another big dog would make it impossible. But the choice had to be made and Tessa had no right to leave the dog that she shared with Greg back in Hershey. And so she moved, halfway across the country, to be with him. While she has yet to find a job, she has found herself a place to live (in the same building as Greg) and is attempting to settle into Wisconsin life. Let's just say this transition hasn't been as easy on her.
